Property, Business & Customization Rules
This policy covers houses, apartments, businesses, furniture, custom mapping, storage, and property transfers.
Ownership and use
Properties must be used for believable roleplay. Owning a house or business does not create an untouchable private zone, immunity from warrants, or unlimited storage rights.
Owners are responsible for who receives keys, management access, storage permission, and business authority.
Furniture and mapping
Furniture and custom objects must fit the property and may not:
- Block entrances, exits, stairways, or essential interaction points.
- Create invisible walls, one-way shooting positions, or unfair cover.
- Hide pickups, safes, alarms, evidence, or players inside inaccessible objects.
- Extend substantially outside the owned property without approval.
- Imitate government, faction, or staff facilities in a misleading way.
- Cause severe performance issues or visual disruption.
Staff may remove problematic objects without refund when placement clearly violates these standards.
Interior realism
Interior design should match the property's size and purpose. A small rural home cannot secretly contain a massive warehouse, hospital, bunker, or nightclub without approved custom development.
Doors, windows, security measures, and hidden areas must be established before they become relevant to a dispute. Players may not invent reinforced structures or secret exits after police or criminals arrive.
Storage
Storage limits are mechanical limits, not permission to ignore realism. Dangerous items, large objects, and commercial stock should be stored in appropriate locations.
Do not use furniture gaps, alternate interiors, dropped items, or bugged containers to exceed storage capacity or make assets impossible to discover.
Businesses
Businesses should maintain a believable public or private purpose. Owners may set prices, hire staff, advertise, and create operating procedures within server rules.
A business cannot advertise a scripted service it cannot provide, impersonate an official agency, or use OOC deception to secure payment. In-character fraud remains subject to the scamming policy.
Security and forced entry
Locks, alarms, cameras, gates, and reinforced features must be supported by the server or previously documented roleplay. They do not guarantee protection from a lawful warrant, emergency entry, or approved burglary scene.
Players cannot instantly change locks, move furniture, empty storage, or transfer ownership after learning OOC that a raid or seizure is coming.
Property transfers
Sales and transfers must use the approved systems and reflect the actual agreement. Extremely low-price transfers, temporary ownership changes, and transfers through friends may be reversed when used to avoid taxes, limits, seizures, inactivity rules, or alt-transfer restrictions.
Real-world money, services, gifts, or account trades may never be exchanged for in-game property.
Inactivity
Inactive properties may be reclaimed under the current inactivity policy. Owners should not rely on brief logins, circular transfers, or empty business activity to prevent reclamation.
Faction or government property belongs to the organization, not the individual leader who configured or used it.
Refunds
Ordinary market loss, poor design choices, inactivity reclamation, or an in-character sale is not automatically refundable. Staff may restore property or objects lost through a confirmed technical fault when reliable evidence is available.
